Found Metropolitan Med Spa in Lorton through their reasonable Groupon offerings for laser hair removal. Their workers were all very communicative, helpful, and accommodating. I really appreciate that they didn't require me to sit and do the registration process on a digital device and had the option to submit on paper; my eyes and wrists already have enough strain from using screens. Coming here to do feminine self-care is like a brief vacation from screen-time for me.

I engaged w female workers there who were all lovely, patient, and compassionate. The laser hair removal specialist explained everything thoroughly and checked in w me frequently throughout, making sure I felt comfortable and could stop at any moment if I needed a break.

I have experience w 1 other laser hair removal clinic in Tysons Corner area, which also had really pleasant clinic workers, but the owner did not have transparent or standard business practices. I appreciate that this Lorton clinic even writes openly in its disclosure forms that there is not an MD present in the office; it is great to know they aren't trying to pass themselves off as something they are not (for example, how PAs or NPs or PharmD's try to claim to be "doctors"). It is not standard practice for these clinics to have MDs in the clinic, and they did not have to mention it so the transparency is appreciated. They seemed to be well-informed of the breadth of the procedures they provide.

So far this is only my 1st out of 6 sessions at this clinic, so I will update this review in 2024 accordingly....more
